Port to Port was originally set to launch way back in 2020, but just a few short days before we opened our doors, Covid scuttled our plans and the festival was cancelled.
Well, sort of cancelled. We pivoted online to create Port to Port Connected, a digital experience that brought together artists from around the world into a single shared stream. Ok, so that might sound like old hat now, but at the time it was pretty fresh. What’s more, we managed to support artists at a time when gigs had gone to the pits and the idea of a crowded venue was a distant dream.
Fast forward three years, plenty of experience, and a heap of smaller events, and we’ve decided to launch Port to Port 2: Revenge of the Synth. Or, as it will more likely be known, Port to Port 2023.
This two-day festival in the heart of Lisbon will take place on the 17th and 18th of March, 2023, offering an alternative St Patrick’s Day celebration in Portugal.
We’re currently building the lineup, contacting artists, connecting with partners, and arguing about the name, but there’ll be more info soon so watch this space and grab yourself an earlybird discounted ticket before they run out!
In the meantime, check out what some fancy magazines had to say about our previous Port to Port:
