This is an ongoing audio series consisting of all types of selections across any format (vinyl, digital, tape, live, etc) and any genre or style, from those deep 4/4 floor fillers to soundscapes and on into to the weird and wonderful. Really, it’s any format or genre the curator wishes to share.
The main aim of this project is to showcase musical journeys and the feeling within the music, as chosen by the participants. Whether it be a set you would play to a packed dancefloor or those personal tracks you play alone in your headphones, it’s about sharing the sounds that matter to you.
“I decided to make a mix of this genre I’ve always liked melodic track’s long builds, chords, breakdowns, and climaxes. It’s one of the first subgenres I began to learn to mix tracks with. It can be so fitting to involve melodic techno, as well as progressive trance as part of a set for a change in energy.
Nick Warren, Sasha, and John Digweed were the first DJ/producers that I listened to and fell for the uplifting sound of prog house. The moving atmospheric synths and the emphasis on the progression of various background sounds are really appealing to me.
An upbeat mix for lounging in the sun, or even for pre/post-drinks on nights out.”
